New Zealand Winter Employers

The New Zealand Winter typically falls between the months of June to August. We're working with NZSKI and the three main ski fields based on the South Island; The Remarkables, Coronet Peak and Mt Hutt. We have even more employers across the South Island looking to hire and ready to meet you!

The Mount Hutt

Mount Hutt rises around 50 miles to the West of Christchurch about 7,200 ft above sea level. It's the largest skiable area on the South Island, boasting an incredible 1.5 square miles of white snowy goodness. For those of you who are keen to hit the slopes, Mt Hutt caters for all abilities with a 'magic carpet' for beginners to challenging black runs for the more advanced level skiers. There's no accommodation on the mountain itself, so your new home will be based in Methven, a picturesque little town about 35 minutes away.

The Remarkables

The Remarkables mountain range really does live up to its name as it rises majestically over the southeastern shore of Lake Wakatipu. It's about a 45 minute drive from Queenstown so you'll never be far from the action as this is where you'll stay. The slopes here cater for all abilities with plenty of space for beginners and free style areas for the more advanced skier. Boasting some of the best alpine views in the world, The Remarkables is just that.

Hermitage Hotel - Mt Cook

The Hermitage Hotel is located in Aoraki Mount Cook alpine village, an impressive place in between Christchurch and Queenstown. Nestled deep within the the World Heritage area of Aoraki Mt Cook National Park, this little gem of a hotel boasts some of the most stunning views of the Southern alps New Zealand has to offer. Staff are hired here usually due to their friendly nature; you'll need to be willing to go the extra mile and have a desire to further your hospitality experience.

Coronet Peak

Spectacular rollercoaster terrain makes Coronet Peak ski area one of New Zealand's most exciting ski resort destinations for snow lovers of any ability. Located just 20 minutes from Queenstown, Coronet Peak has world-class facilities, superb conditions, breathtaking views across Lake Wakatipu and is one of the only slopes to offer night skiing on Friday and Saturday nights. During winter it caters to world-class athletes who come here to train, it's also a popular choice for those wanting to live the ultimate winter lifestyle being so close to party-central Queenstown!
